Thinking of selling the mini... $..?, Ps woo, 2 ceramic plates and a ci grid.
The medium grid is two inches bigger and the dome high enough I could do a second tier. At 113 lbs getting it in the truck would be feasible.
Anyone have both?

What would a @henapple preseasoned mini be going for?Memphis, TN ----> Chattanooga, TN

I don't have both but I did go to the mothership with the intention of buying a mini max and left with a medium. For the way I cook, I feel I made the right choice. I just looked on the BGE website and the weights on the eggs are listed except the Mini Max..... hmmmm

@Walt2015 ...not sure. Market seems to be $300...it does have the accessoriesGreen egg, dead animal and alcohol. The "Boro".. TN

.the max is 80 I believe.Green egg, dead animal and alcohol. The "Boro".. TN

For my next Egg, it will be either a small or medium. The Mini-Max was appealing, but I feel the small or medium would suit me better. Besides, we're a bunch of corn fed big strong boys, what's a few pounds heavier.------------------------------

sounds interesting.. im looking into a minimax or mini for traveling...Southaven, MS.BGE L

80 seems a bit much for one person to handle. Two people can handle 80lb or 113lb equally.

MM is around 75# loaded up with lump, PS and WOO. I can manage mine by myself but, it's sorta awkward. Two people makes it easier obviously.LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL

I pick up and carry my MM its not light but doable. I used to have a medium one person can move it but you have to remove all the guts and its still really akward. 2 people can move the medium easily if you just have to get it into the truck once and leave it there for the trip.

Loading and unloading won't be an issue. What's a reasonable price for the mini?Green egg, dead animal and alcohol. The "Boro".. TN

are you willing to make the warranty claims on it going forward?

I have 2 tier cooking on my small and can pick it up and carry it around...just saying.XL,L,SWinston-Salem, NC

yeah, you like that? I was just thinking warranty claims by conference call, or maybe a chain of forwarded emails "hey henapple - my fire ring cracked, can you send these pics in for me?"
-
I'd guess $300 would be a good price given the accessories and such. In fact, I think you could go as high as $300.01 given your celebrity status here on the forum.Large - Mini - Blackstone 17", 28", 36"

I have both and I would get medium over the max. In my opinion the max is not the best design if your not careful on a low and slow using platesetter u can snuff out fire because of low airflow. Also the plaresetter very shallow no room for drip pan.But I guess its fine for hi heat direct cooks.

No MM, but I have a medium and I love it. Easy l&s and high heat. Lump miser. I can strip the guts and carry it by myself no problem. With decent carrying strap 2 people should haul it no problem.A bison’s level of aggressiveness, both physical and passive, is legendary. - NPS

henapple, did you see my text?

Would go with small vs. mini max. Medium is a little big to carry around for me.

I'm having the same dilemma. Want something to compliment the large. I'm gathering it ultimately depends on what your plan for it is. If it will truly be a complimentary piece than stick with the mini. IF you are wanting to use it for L&S then go with the medium.Large and Small BGECentral, IL

Last fall went to a BGE dealer to look at MM for a 2nd unit mainly for side dishes. After looking at size of MM and pricing left with a Medium. Love it. If only cooking for SWMBO and myself usually use it instead of the XL. Have in nest with no intention of leaving the property.

All I've ever had was a MBGE. Talking to others (few that there are in my area) the amount of lump used between a LBGE and the MBGE is substantial. I've moved mine twice over the past couple of years and once the guts are out it is a healthy one man job - providing the PBR consumption has not been to great.Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!

I think it depends on what you plan to do with. I have a medium that i used quite alot until I got the MM If your just cooking for 1 or 2 on the road i would get the MM for the footprint size both in your truck and where ever your cooking. More than 2, haul the MBGEArlington, TX 1 large, 1 medium, 1 Mini Max, and a 22" Blackstone
