Pizza Peel Question

If I have a 14 inch stone for pizza, what would the best size be for a peel?


  • Large enough to accomodate the size pizza you wish to make.

  • George, what I meant was, how much wider should the peel be than the pizza?

    As for that question.... don't forget that you will eventualy start making breads and other baked goods that will require a peel. Make it large enough to do all but small enough to handle easily. Mik

    Zee,[p]Wide is not a real problem as the egg allows all the room you could possibly need when opened. The consideration is how much room on the peel will you need to manipulate the pizza. The more the better.[p]Spin

    My Stone is 13" Diameter, Wood Peel is 14" as is the Aluminum....and I have had no problems, I wouldn't change anything.

  • Get a SuperPeel to make sliding on/off easy. They really work!
