New cowboy lump?

Disclaimer: i haven't been egging for about a year.
I needed some charcoal and discovered my Walmart had ZERO lump charcoal for sale. So, I stopped and got some cowboy on the way home. I noticed it came in a new style packaging, and also that it was much better than I remember. Large pieces, burned nice and hot, no plywood. I remember it just being "ok" and particularly small and weird pieces of wood, but I thought this bag was great.
Has as anyone else noticed this or did I get a lucky bag?

the newer lump is usually labeled "now burns longer" on the bag, or something like that from what i remember (don't feel like walking to the garage right now to check). i use it without any problems.
