@Cazzy, Dre should be tied at #1 with Pac and Biggie.
I just don't know Dylan.  He's right on the edge for me.

@FanOfFanboysKiller Mike is amazing -  RTJ is great. I'd rather have Talib Kweli than Nas, RZA too.

I gotta keep Biggie up there though. It must be the "could've been" mystique after Life After Death.

@EggcelsiorYeah, Talib is great. rza as well. amazing how many talented guys were in wu-tang. they were seriously nothing to **** with

for me that is what hurts biggie. but same rule can be applied to pac, i just can only go by what limited material they each put out. and since spots limited in top 5 someone had to go. not dropping him far though

OUt of all of them, Biggie was my favorite.  Also, as crazy as it seems, I liked Master P a lot too.

Dunno, are we talking flow or how much we enjoyed their music?  If it's flow I'll go with with Biggie way over Dre, but if we're talking music, than Biggie is crazy overrated.

I echo the Talib Kweli nomination, and I'd definitely drop Biggie and Nas from that first list, I'd have to think hard about including Snoop, Chuck D, Black Thought, or Q-Tip as well.

And to keep this on topic:

    Tri-tip
    Pulled pork
    Salmon
    Brisket
    Chicken Thighs

That's kinda where I sit with him too.  He's had a huge impact as a producer and it kinda overshadows his rap career.

Aw chit...I think he's reading this thread.  Forgot about Dre...again is about to get dropped!

If strictly as and MC, no. I was taking Dre as the whole product. I just love his sound. As a total package, OutKast is #2. That stuff is like musical drugs. Kanye would have to be next.

DAC is by far the worst concert ever been to. I have seen him twice and man is he bad. But still manages to make good music if can get past his tirades and...issues.

I like 1980s Hank Jr but his last few albums/tirades make him hard to listen to these days.

Like Willie the person but not his music.

    No Waylon?

Some amazingly good country music being made these days so don't listen to stuff that is 30+ years old as much anymore.

For sure. I mean when you can listen to such lyrical genius like "bait a hook" or "the trouble with girls" or watermelon crawl" or 'save a horse(ride a cowboy)" or the classic "her teeth was stained but her heart was pure"

can't believe anyone listens to hip-hop when have music like this avail

@FanOfFanboys I enjoyed some rap in high school and will toss in a rap cd from time to time in the truck.  I do listen to country as well.  Mainstream county music has gone down the toilet the past 5+ years or longer.  I love 90's country but some say that's not country either.  I'm not saying all new country  is bad but I can't tell if I'm listening to the pop channel or rap channel. I officially changed all my local country stations that I had locked in my radio to something other than country.  It's the same damn thing from every artist now a days.  Tropical vacations, windows down, jacked up trucks.
