I just bought a brand new in the box small egg for $ 200.00 the guy needed rent money , my question is , I already have a mini and a extra large should I keep it since I got such a good deal or try to sell it and make a profit to go towards a medium or large ?

Keep it. Love my small!!! Order you a woo and stone and go ahead and get a weber sear grate. It will fit right in between the handles of the woo and yiu will have a badass set-up.

Gotta echo @biggreenpharmacist on this one. I have a large and a small and love the small. It's a little workhorse-----------------------------------------analyze adapt overcome2008 -Large BGE. 2013- Small BGE and 2015 - Mini. Henderson, Ky.

The small rules! Your mini will take the backseat shortly"The pig is an amazing animal. You feed a pig an apple and it makes bacon. Let's see Michael Phelps do that" - Jim Gaffigan

Well looks like she might be a keeper then, anybody know how high my base needs to be above the top of a table for the springs and hinge to clear ?
-
10" for the hinge to clear. I just put my new in a table as well.
-
Sorry, It would be 10" from the base of the egg. Not sure about the other measurement. I can measure mint when I get home and let you know.

Depends on your need. Tempted to say just sell it and buy a Large instead

Sell it and buy the medium. I have a small to sell.

Does the Mini do what you need when you don't use your XL?
Do you wish the Mini was just a little bit larger?
I have a XL as my primary cooker and use my Small to fill in.
It's a great combo. Add a Woo Ring and it's even better.
Have only used my Mini a hand full of times and mainly just to say I did.
If you travel a lot and want to carry around a very small heavy grill then the Mini is your clear choice.
...and great score on the Small BGEThank you,DarianGalveston Texas -
Wooly swampman , that would be great, just let me know

@promad - you got a great deal for sure. Since you already have some portability with the Mini, I would think about adding a MBGE. The SBGE is great but the MBGE is totally my favorite (mine gets used 4-5 times per week). It's a rocket for starting and high temp cooks, does a great low-n-slow too. Plus it can easily cook for 4-6 people as long as you're not trying to make a bunch of porterhouse steaks. I bought my SBGE for portability (before the Minimax came out). It works good but my MBGE is perfect for most of my weekly cooks.L x2, M, S, Mini and a Blackstone 36. She says I have enough now....eggAddict from MN!
