You’ll love it. I do mine. Got it at harbor freight. It's not a weed burner like some have here but it does the job.

i was looking at weed burners, but you really can't beat 14 bucks. Weed burners that I have found here are over 50 bucksLarge BGEBBQ Guru DigiQ IIMartensville, Saskatchewan Canada

Nice I bought my torch there for $15

Let us know how it works. I used my weed burner today for the first time. No messing around, lol. Seemed like a little overkill, so curious to hear how you like your toy.

I'd like to see the heat gun in action. Do you have any video using it to start a fire?
Any road will take you there if you don't know where you're going.

Heat guns are the way to go. I have used one for years, just make sure not to leave it in there too long, the plastic will melt.

I have a heat gun. I never use it to light lump. I like the chimney. But, what the heck, after reading this post I'll try it some time!

my $14 weber chimney and a piece of newspaper gets me up and going in the time it takes to light, go in and do the prep for <whatever> and ready to rock-n-roll. Did burgers tonight (mine was wrapped in bacon and put on the grill and then added bleu cheese and let it get melty with a grilled/buttered bun. Used Stonewall Kitchen BallPark mustard and BBQ Ketchup. So it was a Bacon Bleu BBQ Burger. DANG!!! was it good... sorry no pics - couldn't wait that long..

I have one and never thought of using it to light charcoal. Now I have another option. thanks
