Click on your forum name under "My Profile" off to the right. Then delete your forum name and the preceding number in the eggheadforum URL at the top of the screen. Now type in the new forum name and hit enter. Even if that person hasn't been given permission to post, they will still be able to get a PM.

On the full site (not Mobile):
Click on Inbox (on the right, just above notifications)
Click New Message
Type the name of the recipient. Once you start typing it will show a list of names and you can pick one.
