Essential Cast Iron pieces....

10" skillet, ideal for sears and it will fit the MBGE. I also use the 10" for deep dish pizza. Have an 8" that is good for au gratin spuds for the two of us.Never used it on the egg, but the Lodge LPGI3 or the LDP3 (I have this one) are ideal for use on the gasser. Recently bought the Lodge L8DD3 - nice 5qt DO and the skillet without long handles fits the egg with lots of room.Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!

Look at garage sales in the spring. Can never have to much ci

Skillet is a must. Great for pizzas, searing, and veggies
Griddle is good for breakfast, burgers, etcColumbia, SC --- LBGE 2011 -- MINI BGE 2013 -
Any cast iron is great for an Egg. I have a small Lodge cauldron that I use to warm sauce before glazing. It works great. Also, check out a fajita flat skillet.

I like this Lodge skillet for large cooks which with the handles just fits into the LBGE. You can fit 5-6 nice size steaks on it comfortably. I actually picked it up at Wally World on sale.

I think that pizza pan looks nice. I have this reversable griddle. It was only $20 when I got it. I like it but removing it from the egg while it is hot is a pain with the flat handles. The "grill" side is nice if you want to create grill marks, but honestly I have only done that once since you can't taste grill marks .Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

Thanks guys, ideas are rollingI raise my kids, cook and golf. When work gets in the way I'm pissed, I'm pissed off 48 weeks a year.Inbetween Iowa and Colorado, not close to anything remotely entertaining outside of football season.

I've got the following and they are perfect for me. I have a large egg. 12" skillet, 10" skillet, 7 qt Dutch oven, and a chicken fryer. I have two lids (a 10" and 12") and they fit all four pieces.Dave - Austin, TX

@caliking Correct. Camp Chef 10" fluted pie pan. Which should work perfect in either the large or medium. It fits comfortably in the MM too.LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL

If it fits the MM, then it should also work in the small ... yes?NPHuskerFL said:@caliking Correct. Camp Chef 10" fluted pie pan. Which should work perfect in either the large or medium. It fits comfortably in the MM too.

@Jeepster47 I would certainly think so. The small has more head room in the dome area.LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL

I have this Lodge reversible griddle that gets a lot of use for searing here. It last saw duty Wednesday night for seared Ahi on the medium. It fits the medium perfectly. I was going to cut the handle off a 10" CI fry pan, but at 10.5", this provides more space. It's not really a problem to pick up, as long as you have welders gloves. http://www.amazon.com/Lodge-Single-Burner-Reversible-Griddle-10-5-inch/dp/B000E1WA7Q/ref=sr_1_3?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1423242216&sr=1-3&keywords=lodge+reversible+grill+griddle

@NPHuskerFL, do you always cook on the CI grid? Or do you use SS too? Seems like most of the cooks I see from you are on the CILBGE | Conroe, TX

Here's the thread from the cook! The recipe is the link at the beginning. The recipe sounds more "busy" than it really is. It's a fun cook and makes for great leftovers too.New Albany, Ohio

@tisoypops on the LBGE the CI grid stays in there. The OEM SS grid was used once. And I use my homemade raised grid a lot too.LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL

Hungry Joe that is bad @$$! That is a mold isn't it? Can you cook a meatloaf or ground sausage and turn out a pig head??Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

The last piece I bought.
Yes, I believe it is a cornbread mold. I prefer my meatloaf free standing though. It does sit level when flipped over.
