HELP!!! Cracked paint coating

I went out to use my egg the other day and i discovered that in 2 areas the paint cracked off the surface. I cooked some babybacks and i noticed that the moisture was seeping out the cracks in the now exposed ceramic. ANY SUGGESTIONS???

Call your dealer and get a warranty claim started

Can you post pics? "Crazing" of the glaze is normal. If you actually had the glaze flake off, you could file a warranty claim.

It's not paint, it's a ceramic glaze. If you are describing "crazing" (fine cracks like you might see on an old painting), that is normal and not covered. If you are describing chunks of green falling off and leaving white areas exposed, that's a warranty issue. Good luck.

Mine did that, i guess I should call my local dealer. Its on the back so I don't pay it much attention. I thought that was part of the normal aging process, like a battle scar.

Whether it is on the back or not you should replace it under warranty. Since the protective glaze is off then moisture - like we both get here in Illinois - can be absorbed into your base and under the right conditions will cause your egg to crack.
