Anyone ever stay at Secrets St. James in Jamaica?
So last year around this time I went to Dominican Republic and staying at Hard Rock in Punta Cana
This year I am headed to Secrets St James in Jamaica
Anyone ever been? Good and bad feedback? I will be there for 5 days and 4 nights. Anything noteworthy to do away from resort? Anything to avoid or to seek out at resort? My plan is to snorkel a bit, drink a lot, rest a lot.
The best part of my trip: work is paying for it. They pay for the drive to airport, luggage, parking, the whole week in jamaica, food to and from airport, flight, etc
And they pay for me to bring someone with me. So unless I choose to do an excursion or something it cost me nothing and I do not have to use any PTO for this trip

From the research I have done I think I will like this place better than the Hard Rock.Hard Rock was cool, zac brown bad did multi-night concert on beach just for people staying there that week, but was HUGE and tons of kids because was family friendly.This place is smaller and only 21 and older. So from that aspect I think I will like more.But hoping to hear more about it. Things to do, things to avoid, best/worst food, tips to enjoy trip more, etcBoom

We stayed at royal Caribbean "sandals " in Jamaica. I cannot comment on Secrets except we went on a Zip Line adventure with a couple from Secrets. They liked it a lot. But if you are the adventures type try http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g147311-d1022985-Reviews-Jamaica_Zipline_Adventure_Tours-Montego_Bay_Saint_James_Parish_Jamaica.html. They are the best as far as I am concerned. I tried to post a video, but my PC won't let me....in any case check these guys out, they are awesome.
Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

I don't get to choose where I am staying. Company books and sets everything. Yes we did and it was great. Also an incentive trip. There is a guy with a jerk chicken cart on the private beach, don't kiss him...very good stuff.LBGE & SBGE. Central Texas.
