Are there any dangers to putting that much hot oil into a grill over an open flame? Serious question, I really don't know.

Those look amazing!

Thanks fellas'! @SunDeviledEgg , the mini BGE has a cooking grid that is about the same size as a stove burner. I use a standard sized CI skillet for frying on the mini. So it's just like frying indoors on a stovetop.
-
@SunDeviledEgg - Kindof a bit dangerous.
Take a look around here for all of the egg table fire threads over the summer - there were multiple.Use common sense and you'll be fine though, Yes - you have a large volume of oil, directly above an open flame - spill, or splash the oil, and there's the potential for the whole she-bang to light.
Best bet IMHO is to only fry in a pan which you're able to close the egg's lid on (no big protruding handles etc). Worst case scenario, and the pan is ablaze, you can hopefully close the egg's lid and snuff the fire out.

and @Dyal_SC - GREAT lookin wings - definitely going to try these soon![Insert clever signature line here]

I personally wouldn't fry anything on the Large, but the CI skillet protrudes past the edge of the mini. No way for oil to hit the flame.

lol…yes, and I would rather burn up my back deck than my kitchen.BRush00 said:@SunDeviledEgg - Kindof a bit dangerous.

Not using common sense is the cause of most fires in the home. And most start in the kitchen from grease fire on the stove top.Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas -

@fusionhq , I just threw it together and didn't measure. But it was around equal parts of Sriracha and Honey (maybe 1/2 cup each?). Then the juice and zest of one Lime. Then a splash or two of soy sauce and about a tablespoon of freshly chopped cilantro. Next time I will simmer it with a little cornstarch to thicken.
