Did my first cook in the new wok tonight. Big thanks to @Mattman3969 for the tips and the links. This was a successful cook. We really like about any Asian food. Only thing I would change here would be more spice, maybe more Sriracha or maybe some red pepper flakes. On to the cook:
First the chicken until done Then the veggies: Snap peas, carrots and red bell pepper Some zoodles: Then the sauce and everyone into the pool! Unfortunately, my damn phone died about then.
And, finally, plated with peanut and cilantro garnish, some store bought spring rolls and edamame. Lessons learned:
1. I need some better gloves
2. If you think you have enough oil, give it a dash more.
3. If you think the oil is hot enough, give it a few seconds more
4. Don't expect to drink many beers while wokking
I'm really surprise I could get these pics! Thanks again Matt!
Now, where'd I put that dang tri tip?

That looks awesome!!! I guess I forgot the part about the adding the red pepper flakes right before you add the chicken. Sorry man. The wok looks nicely seasoned too.-----------------------------------------analyze adapt overcome2008 -Large BGE. 2013- Small BGE and 2015 - Mini. Henderson, Ky.

@DMW You're welcome here anytime, but I figured you'd be shoveling all that white crap off the driveway. Mid thirties here and no snow in sight! Come on down and teach me how to cook some stuff, and how to order off Amazon cause you're WAY better at that than me.@Mattman3969 No worries, you got me way farther than I would have been on my own. A little added on the plate did the trick.

Thanks all@Jeremiah This place definitely thins the wallet@grege345 thanks@Walt2015 We have the el cheapo had held veggeti maker and it gets a lot of use. Weekly most times. We use it when we get on the low carb kick. All we've done is zoodles, but we are going to expand to yellow squash and maybe sweet potatoes.

@Jeremiah ... thins your wallet? Hell, they'll take it away from you. Knives; knife sharpeners; woks; MM; CI pots, pans and grates; tables; electronic controllers; specialty lump; five different starters; fire wire; and T-shirts ... poverty is knocking on my door.
Good first cook Jason. Looks like something I'd enjoy.

man, you killed it with this
how were the zucchini noodles with it? did you cook them long or just flash?

Good stuff. Two thumbs up :-bd.. I'm with @Jeremiah on his comment about this place sucks. I think I'm gonna go the the doctor and see if he will operate on my brain to remove the "Wanter lobe" . Just think of how much more enjoyable this site would be if the doctor removed your "Wanter lobe". A guys wallet would be fatter too.Steven

We like to just get the noodles warm even if they're cooked inside. If they cook too long, they get mushy and we don't like the texture. -
Have a hankering for some Chinese lately, I think you have talked me into it. Great looking cook, Jason! Of course my favorite picture is the fork picture.I have a question, did you get a Spider for your wok? If not what is your setup? I have a decent wok that I use inside, but have never cooked on the Egg with it. Told the wife I need to do it outside because the house smells afterwards.------------------------------

@tarheelmatt thanks. Yes, I got the spider and it works great. The only thing with wok in the egg is it is a lot of heat! It was fun though.

@tarheelmatt have fun. My spider was in the door step in 3 days! I was surprised it got here so quickly.

@NPHuskerFL @fletcherfam thank you both.

@theyolksonyou, I hope so for almost $12 shipping! I'll have to measure my wok when I get home to see if it will work. Believe a 16" is required. May have to get the one you bought.------------------------------
