The first time I ever heard that phrase was on an old PBS TV series in the 70's or 80's called Rumpole of the Bailey... Every time I hear/see it now I think fondly of long suffering Rumpole...

My wife thinks it is hilarious. She hasn't heard the term before. She probably wishes I listened to her more though.

I always listen to my wife. I told her years ago I don't like the words stop, no ,or don't unless its no don't stop then that's ok. She knows when I start talking about something I am going to get it so the sooner I get it the less she has to hear about it. Same with her though I always tell her to get things if she wants them. We do try to let each other know if its over several hundred though.

I have said this before and will say it again. A woman Is like a new puppy. Train the right and it's all good. Train them wrong and they end up at the shelter awaiting someone else to train them.

@lit. I agree 100 percent. The mrs and I pretty much get what we want within reason So really do get along great. If she wants something she gets it. If i want something I get it so really the SWMBO I s really kinda silly.
