Well damn I'm stuck here this weekend as my truck broke and won't even get looked at till monday. What is there to do here?

Sorry to hear about your back@piney. Yeah i was heading from Spartanburg to Charlotte topick up and the damn thing broke at the scale. Lol. Charlotte shops were saying wen. Or thur. Before they could look at it so I had it towed dun here. Mu truck has the auto shift and it locked in 9th gear. Pulled into the scale and it bogged down and died and it would not go into neutral so could not get it to restart.

Go to the Vista (Gervais and Assembly area) and pick any of the restaurants.....all good. For BBQ, I would try Hites BB http://www.hitesbbq.com or Big T's BBQ http://bigtbbq.com . If you have time, highly recommend two bars just for a drink. Oak Table and Bourbon both on Main St. near the Statehouse on corner of Main and Gervais. Expensive food but both bars are very cool. Riverwalk is really nice. I'd recommend swinging by Carolina Stadium that was just designated the best college baseball venus in America as well 9th best overall which included pro stadiums as well. Team most likely will be out there practicing. Sounds like you might as well make best of your situation and it looks like nice weather this weekend with highs in the 50's. Head over to Fort Jackson for Basic Training. They'll give you plenty of great food, a nice place to sleep, clothes that look and feel great, and teach you skills that will help you get a job anywhere. At least that's what the recruiter told me.

Out of town unfortunately but plenty to do in Columbia. What you feel like doing? If you want some BBQ Palmetto Pig is good and is downtown. Lots of restaurants and bars in the vista. Main Street is primarily a business district but in process of changing that. Five Points is where all of the college bars are. Wouldn't go there at night but you could try going to Pawleys Porch.
