Going Dark on Social Media

Recent events have made me rethink social media and my personal involvement in it. I have deactivated FB and Twitter alike at this time. And as hard as it is I am doing the same here for now. So, until then egg on my egghead friends. Egg on.

Don't go too far... I'm taking a look at my social media involment as well and trying to slow it down some... You can cut it down without going completely dark.

Well this sucks, but I understand. Never did enjoy Twitter, but got sick of FB and pulled the plug about 18 mos ago.

Sorry to see you go, I'm a lurker mostly, but learned from your posts.

I'm not on FB or Twitter. People that would take pictures of me know to not tag me on FB. All mail goes to a PO box and my identity is shielded on my property. Corporate America isn't much behind the government when it comes to data mining. Five years ago, friends called me nuts. As time passes, fewer people think I'm crazy and wished they hadn't hung their life out on the internet.

I am on this forum and one other but don't post any personal info. Hopefully Blake rejoins anonymously.

My Facebook account was terminated years ago after somebody in Pakistan hacked into it. Never went on Twitter as no one needs to be posted that I am having a BM. Stayed clear since that first bad event. Not to worry though because Big Brother tracks every internet site and phone whether cell or land line. Never say anything you don't want someone to hear. I'm not sure if it's even okay to think it.
