Wet Cure Jerky Marinade Advice Needed

I am having the hardest time finding any real recipes. I'm looking to wet cure and marinate sliced round roast and smoke at 225ish for a few. I was planing on using Pargue Powder #1 and just mixing the appropriate amount her lbs of beef into what I would normally use for a marinade. Is this ok? Am I crazy? All I learned when I tried to research was that too little/much PP#1 and I will die. Not what I really wanted to do lol but any advice on the topic is greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

I like to use this recipe: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Deer-Jerky/, However I have never cooked on the egg, I have always used the dehydrator. Good Luck

I don't think you need to use PP#1. You are drying the meat, a method of preservation. I'm not sure that 225 is low enough, though. Look up Alton Brown's recipe (uses a box fan).*******Owner of a large and a beloved mini in Philadelphia
