We have Keurig coffee machine, but haven't tried an espresso cup in it yet. I like any of the dark roast for it. You can go 5, 7 or 9 oz on mine to get the strength you want. We have it set to on and ready to make coffee. Will make a cup in a minute. I like it better than making a half pot or so. Check them out. We the cups on sale and it is like $0.50 a cup. We only do Starbucks once in a while.XL, WSM, Coleman Road Trip Gas GrillKansas City, Mo.

An old friend of ours runs this spot. Pirate's Grogg and Morning Fog Lifter are favs of ours. He's using very high quality Arabica beans and everything is prepared fresh for you. You have several options to request your beans for various preperation methods:
I believe they can prepare you a sample pack to try them out.Just a hack that makes some $hitty BBQ.... -

San Francisco Bay French Roast k-cups from Costco. They don't pay Keurig the extortion fee, so they won't work in the 2.0 machines. Also filter material bottom, so less waste.

Years ago it was Gevalia before they got big and the quality went down the toilet. They used to roast a Columbian that tasted like it smelled when brewing. Those days are long gone. There is a local shop called Java Creek which sells a blend called Creekside that is very similar to the old Gevalia and very likely better to my taste.

Was caribou which has now been bought by Peets. Can't do Starbucks. Usually a dark roast and always grind my own and use a french press. Am starting to buy local small batch coffee beans and have even dabbled in roasting my own using a popcorn air popper. Have been pondering stepping up to a behmor 1600 for roasting but haven't made the leap yet
