I just got a nespresso. Not the finest cup of expresso in the world, but good for me.Spaightlabs said:We just bought a very nice Breville espresso maker with a built in grinder. It is da bomb!

I've been thinking about that. I was browsing recipes and I'm not entirely sure I'd use it that much. I'm needing convincing on this one. I'd need a foodsaver too, and I'm not sold on the brand WS carries.Wolfpack said:Sous vide?

I did convince the wife on a new set of steak knives.Dunedin, FL

I was going to suggest knives.
All in all not a bad problem to have! Enjoy.

I haven't been able to convince her on sous vide yet. We'll keep looking.Dunedin, FL

Double R Ranch Beef - same as you can get from SRF. Kurobuto Pork and Ham - same as you can get from SRF. Live Maine Lobsters. Lots of meat to put on the Egg and all available (and some on sale) from Williams Sonoma.

We have a 20+ year old Kitchenaid mixer (whirlpool - not hobart) that is sounding like it could be failing soon. I would get another 6-7 quart glass bowl pro model (not tilt-head)

I do like the espresso machine idea.Louisianian by birth, Louisianian by death. Austinite for now...

Bought the wife a sous chef breville there...

I have a Breville BES870XL espresso machine and it's amazing! I do really want one of these roasting pans though.

So far we chose a set of laguiole steak knives and a mandolin.Dunedin, FL

With the mandolin, get a steel mesh glove. Those pushers are a pain and the glove makes using your hand safe. When you get to the end of whatever you are slicing, hold your hand horizontal to the slicer.*******Owner of a large and a beloved mini in Philadelphia

I bought my meat slicer with a WS gift card._________________________________________________Don't let the truth get in the way of a good story!Large BGE 2006, Mini Max 2014, 36" Blackstone, Anova Sous Vide

It does a terrific job quickly processing veggies though. I wouldn't be without one.

Get in touch with @WeberWho? About the mixer. He had a post recently about it just being a breakdown in the lindication leaking out. He had some good info in disassembling, cleaning, and re-lube. I'll bet your kitchen aid is still good.

I would try and trade the gift card for cash to a friend who really needs something from Williams Sonoma and then I would buy myself another egg.

The ones that work at the W.S that I go too I wouldn't give them a plug nickel. And my eyes are bad. :-B -
Well, knife sharpener is kind of a bust as I have free sharpening with my shuns (which I have yet to take advantage of after 6 years). @tinyfish I would do that, but it's technically a credit on our account for pottery barn botching our kids bunkbed order. I think we've found some smaller items to fill up. We don't bake much so a mixer doesn't make sense. I'll see if my wife springs for a slicer.Dunedin, FL

@yzzi I would then forget about the card for a while then gift it to my wife (SWMBO)
