Cooking a couple of steaks on my deck this evening when this guy showed up. Unfortunately he stood directly behind a hanging bird feeder. I moved to get a better shot and as soon as I moved, he took off. First time, I have seen this particular buck. He seemed to know his way around so he has probably been a nocturnal visitor up to this point.

Yeah, he looks pretty comfortable in your back yard.
Any road will take you there if you don't know where you're going.

Yes it is a Northern Arizona Mule Deer. We have several does that come to the yard daily, but bucks usually come at night. Larger ones like this guy are pretty skittish.
