Squeezed 2 oranges, added a shot of Elijah Craig and poured in some honey. Brushed the steelhead with the mixture then hit it with some DP raging river. Sprayed the Asparagus with EVOO and poured some butter on then seasoned with Susie Q's and cracked pepper. Pan seared all 3 first on the mini then put them in the MM indirect at 350 and put my veggie tray on the mini full blast while the fish was finishing. Red onion, tomoatoes, and feta over the spring mix. Best meal I've had since the baby......

Thanks guys. I forgot to mention I brushed them several times with the orange honey mixture while they were in the MM. I am going to try maple syrup next time instead of the honey and put more of the maple syrup. The sweetness went well with the fish.

Just a simple, quick, easy Friday evening meal ... not. Very impressive ... wish I would have been there.
Is there a thread on using honey in other combinations on other foods?

I have seen places mention putting honey on ribs. I know my parents do it and like it. I have never tried it.

@SmokeyPitt she was eating dairy during the pregnancy but is going back full vegan soon. She did actually eat the fish and really liked it. She is about to make a fish taco for lunch. First time I have seen her eat meat in a year or 2.
@tcampbell yes that a mini and MM. The cart is pretty much perfect and was only $60 from Costco.
thanks everyone for the comments. That's about the best I can do for a plated pic. Usually eat on paper plates. -
You should smoke some . It was the best smoked fish I ever made if I do say so my self.
