I smoked my first Lasagna yesterday. I had seen it online and finally got around to making it. Just a few Hickory chunks and cooled for 2 hours. Everyone loved it and thought it was one of the best they had ever had.
I would HIGHLY recommend making this if you have not tried it before. Just use your normal recipe. It only gets smoked on the top so it does not over power the rest of it.

Nice!I love cooking Italian on the egg...pizza, lasagna, meatballs. I just use the lump alone and the cheese picks up the smoke.Great job!Sarasota, FL via Boynton Beach, FL, via Sarasota, FL, via Charleston, SC, via The Outer Banks, via God's Country (East TN on Ft. Loudon Lake)

If you use just a bit of soaked wood - I used Hickory - just a couple pieces gives it a nice smokey flavor without overpowering it. We are doing it again for Christmas Eve for the family dinner. Can't wait. Then I'm doing a prime rib for Christmas dinner. It will be my first prime rib - can't wait.
