Graduate tomorrow. Got some family coming in. Putting two butts on around 300. Going to foil them later and try and get them off before later tonight.

No injection. I've done that a few times and never found anything worth the labor. I've done all the fancy labor intensive rib tricks to and just dont think it's worth it on the egg. Good rub, good smoke, and watch your temps. The egg keeps it moist and if you don't screw it up it's going to be great.
I have done some hot sauce Italian dressing injections that are fun but in a crowd of 30 no one else appreciates it and can leave it oily.

Egg has settled in right under 300 and the butts are sitting around 125-135. I'm just let them ride naked and fix them later tonight.

Congrats on graduation. Butts looking good.....handle on the egg.....not so much. Too bad my Bulldogs couldn't help themselves by beating the lowly Gators. Then we could have made the SEC Championship game a little bit more interesting.
