Subject said it all for me really.
Cooked at about 375/400 raised direct.
Smashed potatoes with blue cheese, bacon, green onion, and bacon grease. Molded the spuds onto a cedar plank and bam!
The pork's done with a light Montreal steak spice coat, with a bourbon maple glaze.

Lovin the planked potato idea. That goes on the list, thanks
Did you make the glaze or find a good commercial one?Enjoying life in Cincinnati, Ohio - Large BGE & MiniMax BGE -
Oh man! That all looks great! Did your potatoes get very smokey? I need to do them again as they turned out pretty good but my fire wasn't quite "clean" enough and the taters took a little more smoke than I wanted.L x2, M, S, Mini and a Blackstone 36. She says I have enough now....eggAddict from MN!

Man that looks awesome. That is a really cool idea with the spuds and it gives you a pseudo-indirect and direct at the same time.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

The spuds take on a really 'nice' amount of cedar smoke - not a ton, but enough that you notice it.
The bourbon glaze was mine; 3/4 cup of bourbon, 2 tbsp maple syrup, some brown sugar, a little mustard powder (why? No idea). Boil everything, then bring to a simmer to reduce.[Insert clever signature line here] -
I'm doing those potatoes. Looks great.
