Is the BGE instant read thermometer worth the $100 price tag? Is there one that is better than the rest? I need to buy a new one and want to invest in 1 good one and not multiple so so thermometers. Any help or guidance is greatly appreciated.

Actually the fastest is orange or green. But get the Thermapen hands down and the ads seem like $89?Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers.

After wasting too much $ on inferior thermometers, I got the Thermapen. Have to agree with tulocay!!!

Or, a lot of folks like the Thermapop at 1/3 the price. I don't have one, but they get good reviews here.

Steven, not sure what you mean. My Thermapen IR - type K with the auxiliary probe is just as fast as my 2 Thermapens. Yours isn't? BTW I bought a new 260 Z in 1974 and that was one hot number so again I am confused?Re-gasketing America one yard at a time. -
That is exactly what I meant Ron. The 240/260's were quick. I blew a Datsun guys doors off once with my Jensen Healy
