A little late w/ the Thanksgiving cook post...

Ok, for me, this was my first "major" cook for guests (in-laws) on the BGE - with no back-up plan... Started the cook at 6:00 am Thanksgiving morning and pulled the bird just a little after noon - and I must say, there's only a couple things I'd doo differently - first either use more smoke (used apple since I was concerned with it being too smoky) and second - put the potatoes and carrots in later - I had started them when the bird was put on, and they were very soggy. All in all - very favorable reviews from all, and it was the moistest turkey I've ever had.
