What is the brand? Hobart, Globe, etc.??? Can I ask how much? I've been looking at them myself"The pig is an amazing animal. You feed a pig an apple and it makes bacon. Let's see Michael Phelps do that" - Jim Gaffigan

Bizerba Model SE 12 I paid $300.00. I have been looking for a long time and I wanted to keep my cost down to 300 to 400.

The thing is huge and weighs about 70 lbs. You definitely need a cart to put it on that can be moved when not in use.

Nice score. I agree on the weight, these things are tanksFound this plastic engine cart on sale for $90 at Sears. 4 2x6s cut to fit, 2 on each side for clearance. Roll it out of the spare bedroom and into the kitchen when its time to use. Works great.BrandonQuad Cities

@mross nice score. I have an older 10 inch hobart model 210 that works good but I need a 12 to go along with the smoker I had built. That is the exact model we use at the firehouse and what I have been looking for. You got a great deal at $300. Do yourself a favor and get some food grafe silicone to lube the rails and anything that slides. The only downfall to that slicer is it does not come all the way apart to clean. Also did you get a sharpner for it? If not they pop up on eBay every now and again.

was that in georgetown?

I am in the market for a slicer, and keep my eye on CL. Hopeful that a nice, inexpensive commercial one will pop up soon. I'm getting tired of slicing bacon by hand.Anybody have good 'home' model they recommend if I end up going with something from Amazon?1 LBGE in Chapel Hill, NC

No sharpener. I put it on my back porch on a stainless steel table I had along with my chamber sealer. Mama was happy to get it out of her kitchen. Rhodes it was in Spartanburg.Duncan, SC
