OT **** SV help needed

I went to Costco last night and picked up a bunch of chicken and thew it in the SV. My question is how long will they keep in the fridge / freezer? I made a way to much for the two of us but we love chicken. Any help is appreciated.

week or more in the fridge. very long time in the freezer.it may last a little longer in the Foodsver bags but I use the same rule of thumb with mst leftovers. No more than 7-8 days in the fridge

If you got those vacume packed pieces there (legs, thighs, breasts), you just need to freeze than and they will last a very long time. I sometimes buy those double whole chicken packs and they freeze well also. Fresh skinless breasts in the styro flats need to be vacume sealed or the will freezer burn in short order.

@centex when re-heating frozen how long should I anticipate for them to thaw and heat back up to cooked temperature?
