XL versus Large Green Egg

I have an XL green egg and a large green egg. I use a DigiQDX which I use with both. I get perfectly predictable results with the large and problems with the XL. I like to slow cook pork butts at 200 for 20 hours which means the meat falls off. No problems holding 200 for upto 30 hours with large but with XL seems to stop holding after 12 to 14 hours. What am I doing wrong. I use the place setter with a drip pan for both.
