Dutch Oven Question

Options
Gonna make my first pot of chili on the egg tmrrw and had a couple questions. Do I use the platesetter and put the Dutch oven right on that or do I use the grid with the platesetter or do I go direct? Mine has the feet on the bottom of the pot. Also what kind of temp do I run at to start browning the beef and what temp to simmer?

Not sure if it matters but I'm using beans;)
