Sunday Cook Inside & Out

The Eagles have a bye this week so I will be following the Ravens since I took them in the suicide pool this week...

Even though the wife wanted a big pot of Sunday Gravy, which is simmering right now; its too nice of day not to egg something... So while getting the fresh bread this morning for dinner, I picked up a pork butt as well that is going on with some oak for smoke. Going to do it sorta turbo style, up around 325 ish and see how it turns out.

Nice to hear it called gravy.... That's what us folks from Boston call it.. Down south here they call it sauce.... I can almost smell it. Wonderful!!!!

Never heard of "Sunday Gravy". Or heard pasta sauce called "gravy" for that matter. I have it frequently... just never heard of it.

The only meat in gravy round here is bacon or breakfast sausage. Here in north GA the gravy is white made with mik, lard and flour. Occasionally find brown. Everything else, sauce. Learned something today. Never heard that before.

That is a hell of a Sunday cook. There's a decent Italian place in Raleigh called Gravy that does a 'sauce' with the same chunky pulled meat that your pic shows. mmmmm..

Have you ever posted your gravy recipe? I'd love to see that.

Cool...

I basically follow the Wegmans recipe for Sunday Gravy, I just add the beef short ribs and few other spices.
