Decided to do some beef ribs today...cuz why not. My kitchen is torn to the studs, my living room is full of cabinets and we are living like hobos. I went outside to get the egg ready. Set the rig on the ground, lit the fire and came back in to prep the ribs. I heard a ruckus so I went out and this is what I found:
No good grid-licker got his collar snagged and had to sit there in his own shame until I took a pic and set him free.
Here are the ribs (salt, pepper, garlic, worchestire)
My guru has been on loan and just came back so I fired that up as well just for kicks. Happy Saturday and may the team of your choice win (unless it's Iowa State, then I can't help you).

I'm going 225. Low and slow all day. Making a hybrid bbq sauce from the Franklin video and the Robert Rodriguez video on the other egg too. Doing it Franklin style but adding the beer from Rob Rod recipe.cazzy said:Good stuff cen. Love me some beef ribs!

The shiner bock bbq sauce:
I followed the recipe from Franklin's YouTube video and added a beer (a la Robert Rodriguez). It's simmering down at 400 on the other egg while the beef ribs are creeping closer. They smell awesome. Can't wait for this one.

Could be worse, one of my butthead dogs was licking dishes as we loaded the dishwasher and got its collar stuck, panicked, and took off pulling the drawer full of dishes bouncing along and spewing dishes with every bounce.LBGE & SBGE. Central Texas.

oh he's got that in the play book. Your dogs are bigger than mine so they can wreck shop faster than mine. Coop makes that up with frequent stomach upset and general ass-hattery.Keepin' It Weird in The ATX FBTX -

Holy Schniekey these were good. Brisket on a stick:
I did not like the sauce on its own but it was money on the ribs:

We don't have a kitchen at the moment so we were just standing out on the deck dipping ribs in a pot of sauce with no plates. Butcher paper only. It was very "original coopers BBQ" style if you've ever been to Llano.Keepin' It Weird in The ATX FBTX

Looks great man! That sounds like a great way to tear up some good food.
Eager to see finished pics of your kitchen. Hopefully you took lots of pics before to really show the transformation.Just a hack that makes some $hitty BBQ.... -
Looks like a winner to me brother Tex. Beef ribs are one of my all time favorites.
Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.
Status- Standing by.

Hell, that looks better than Coopers. To me the best thing at Coopers is the BIG Chops anyway.Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers. -
Great looking cook. Beef ribs are so delicious.
Mind if I ask where you picked up those ribs from? It's sometimes hard to find good beef ribs here in central TX and I'd love to have another source.
