DigiQ Food probe temp problem

I started a Pork Butt this morning, and my digiQ appears to be malfunctioning. The food probe temp is reporting really high temps, close to the grill temp.
I have checked to make sure the probes are plugged in correctly, and I've pulled the probe and put it in an ice water bath. After returning it to the meat, it gradually rose right back up to a high temp (199 degrees). I checked the actual internal temp with my instant read thermometer, and it registered 64 degrees, which is clearly correct.
Anyone have a similar issue?

After two back to back 18.5 hr brisket cooks, my Digi Q food probe is cooked. Tried it yesterday on my Thanksgiving turkey and it was way off. Thank God for the Maverick system I barely use. Digi Q food probe in Toronto/Vaughan at Ontario BBQ is $40, which I find steep.
Wish there was an alternative replacement.
