Wednesday Night Situation... And The Weekend

Leftovers are finished as planned. It's been a short week so far; but filled with an unusually high amount of stupidity...

A work from home clean up day tomorrow and then we hit the road for the beach for 4 days. Bringing the boys and looking forward to long walks with my girls, good cigars, and a few cocktails. No egging for awhile; but I'll manage. Funny how now I consider being limited to a stove and gas grill as "roughing it"

Few things arrived today in time for the trip... A box of my favorites, and a polarizing filter for my RX100. Bringing my full bag of gear hoping the weather cooperates for some good sunrises.

My boys got their hair cuts yesterday; just packed my travel humidor with my favorite sticks, and I'm currently enjoying some good single malt and Johnny Cash...

They get the whole 9 yards... With tip it runs me about $150 for both of them. They go twice a year on average. Same girls been cutting them since they were pups. They can't wait to get to the beach. They love racing around on the sand... And then sleep like rocks.

@henapple‌ you make me seem like Trump; this is only the second time to the beach this year; and it's at a good friend's house that doesn't cost us anything as far rent goes, we do pick up the tab for everything else... Been doing this Columbus Day weekend for 6 years now... I'm big fan of going off season

Brother I'm back on my Cymbalta again. So I'm not nearly as entertaining. Sedated and calm my friend. If it gets to boring on here I may skip a dose or two just to break the monotony

Sounds like a great trip - enjoy! Also looks like you've kicked things off nicely w/ the single malt. I love Macallan (well before they took away the age statements, that is). The 12 was one of my go-to highlands before the islay bug bit me!

Thanks... This is one we always look forward to; and this year it's really needed. Even Elise(10yrs old) has remarked that school is getting to her. She started Aug 18th; 5th grade at a Charter School, already working on or completed 5 projects. Works hard though; all her class grades are at 92 or above, and she's in mostly advanced classes. We are really proud of her... All we ever stress to her is to do her best, you can't do better than that. If you can honestly tell yourself that it was your best; be happy and take the lessons you learned forward for the next time...

Stay on the meds... They work best when used as prescribed. Don't ask me how I know. Your posts are pretty damn entertaining and informative normally, no reason to jack 'em up.

Our friend's sister has a house on the bay, and it's only a 4 block stroll to the beach from there. He always jokes that anyone can see a sunrise; you have to be invited to watch the sunset.

I used to; but they had some problems with the law... Now I visit Old Havana down on 202 or I go to Lighten Up in Malvern. Every once in a great while I'll take road trip up to Cigar International by Cabelas

I have no idea how often our Yorkie gets cut. (He gets a puppy cut, so real short). I try not to think about things my wife spends money on that I have no control over, but he's my lil buddy so its worth it. Glad German Shepherds don't have to get cut.

Well said. Easy in our busy lifestyles to lose focus on the things that really matter. Elise has a great dad to look up to. Enjoy!
