Will my chicken be OK?....

So I was planning for a spatchcock chicken for my family tonight and something has come up and I won't be able to do it until tomorrow night. The date on the chicken was fine till the wk-end but I took it out of the package last night and rinsed off and spatchcocked it and seasoned. Put in pan, covered with foil and put back in the fridge. Is there any reason this won't be ok for supper tomorrow night?

Shouldn't be an issue at all man. By all means smell it before, but I am pretty sure you're okay.------------------------------

I think it's safe. The extra time in the rub should make for some big flavor!Flint, Michigan

Will be fine. Uncover it tonight and put it back in the fridge. This will help dry the skin out and crisp up the skin when it cooks.They/Them

I routinely take my chickens out and spatchcock them the night before I'm going to cook them.
Leaving it uncovered in your fridge overnight will simply dry the skin out a little bit - which leads to nice lovely crispy skin once cooked.
You're going to be A-OK

Like others suggested, I would uncover it all night. It will only improve the crispness of the skin.1 LBGE in Chapel Hill, NC
