I run a store that sells BGE and love it, I get to talk about them, sell them to people, and talk to fellow Egg Heads for some of my day " I also sell less interesting stuff like hot tubs and pools" Anyways I cook on it most days for lunch but would like to try something in the Dutch oven I have never used it and would appreciate any ideas on what to cook and/or tips for using it. I can start it by 8 AM and with breakfast can go till about 2 PM for lunch.

Spatchcock a chicken first around 10. At 11 put crock pot on with the trinity and andouille sausage. Brown the andouille and then add tomato sauce, spices and hot sauce and chicken let it simmer for an hour and last 30 min add frozen shrimp. Little trick I dois I buy the rice in the microwaveable bag because that is parboiled off the shef. Some scallions on top and voilaLBGE& SBGE———————————————•———————– Pennsylvania / poconos

I always think one of the more impressive things coming off of a grill is a cobbler or pie because people don't expect it. But damn @grege345 nailed that one.I raise my kids, cook and golf. When work gets in the way I'm pissed, I'm pissed off 48 weeks a year.Inbetween Iowa and Colorado, not close to anything remotely entertaining outside of football season.

I like the idea of the cobbler also. Another would be BBQ soup. I've made it before and the recipe is on the Big Green Egg website. Make that and some bread bowls and you are good to go.XL BGE, LG BGE, and a hunger to grill everything in sight!!!Joe- Strongsville, OH
