OT Yeti rambler and wine???

Options
Ok all you yeti owners, I have a 20 and a 30 ready for pick on Saturday. Question I am thinking of getting SWMBO a 20 oz Yeti. Wine is a "Food Group for my sweet heart. How many of you use the Yeti for adult beverages without ice, could you chill the mug and then pour wine into it, and would it keep the wine chilled for camping trips or tailgating? Just trying to figure out if it could be used for keeping wine chilled? Or does the ice not really effect the adult beverage? Any one have some insight??
TIA

A++ for all of that. Keeps wine really cold even without adding ice. We bought ours for the pool and we drink a lot of wine out there. I haven't used a different cup for anything since I bought it. Best $30 I've spent in a while. I've lasts all day. Like 12 hours.

I have both tried a beer in the 20 and it stayed at temp a long time. It was nice.

I don't know if without ice if the chill will hold for hours but you could have it iced then dump when ready to fill with the beverage.

I was pretty sure you meant you can go all day drinking wine. I still suspect that may be accurate. :D

@Cen Tex thanks for the info, being that wine is a MUST for SWMBO, she loved hearing your comments. I think you just became her new best friend. ;)

That is what I am thinking, pre chill and dump the ice, does the outside of the rambler feel cold?
On a side note, a while back you suggested going to Big John's Pacific's well the time has come for us and we will take it in this weekend. Looking for to that, thanks again.

Any issue with the lid not being able to close or seal up?? That is the one thing I question about the rambler, guess if you are traveling, you don't fill er right up.

Lid seals but it has an opening where you drink from.
When I had my cold beer I dumped ice cold water from the yeti, it was cold and no the outside is not cold to the touch.

Is it better than a Tervis cup?  Just wondering how they compare.

The yeti keeps drinks colder longer than the Tervis . I'm in love with my yeti. I keep filling it all day long and it's still cold when I need it in the middle of the night. ;;)

When sitting by the pool and drinking not expensive wine my wife will put ice cubes in a sandwich bag tie shut and then put in her glass.  Keeps wine chilled and doesn't water it down.  (No one said we were always classy.)

I have to switch to Tito's eventually but I can roll all day when the occasion calls for it. Although i seem to be paying a higher and higher price as the years wear on.

WAY better and I have a bunch of tervis (which i still like). it's night and day. I drink ice water all day. Put ice in at 7 am, it's still in there at 6 pm.. It keeps stuff cold several hours longer than our Tervis tumblers

It's only a matter of time before it will as expensive as the other big names.  I was in Chicago this weekend and Titos drink was $12 and GG, Belvedere were $11.

@GannyX4 this is great news, can't wait till tomorrow, we will pick them up and the first order of business is to find some ice to fill them with and try them out. I read somewhere that they don't sweat so that is a bonus too.

Thanks to recommendation from @skinnyv, I went online at Austinkayak.com and got first one for 20% off and free shipping. Hoping the 20 ounce will be a good peace offering for SWMBO. Got 2 with free shipping for just over 58. If you're outside the great state of Texas, I don't think there is tax. That would be 54 for 2. Great deal. Already have the 30.

My wife has one of these wine Tervis style cups (not made by Tervis) Probably doesn't keep the cold as long as a Yeti, but she drinks it fast enough that it don't matter. Or she did and will again in 4 months or so.

They have those at the Dollar Tree. $1 a cup. Great for a group of women drinking copious amounts of vino next to the pool.
