Any ideas of a good bbq lighter out there? I use the little fire starters by BGE, but looking for a good lighter to light those. It's been pretty windy here recently and my regular lighter just isn't cutting it. Anyone have any experience/recommendations with torch or butane lighters?

Will this work with a regular coleman propane tank you can pick up at a local store? Or does the tank need to be more specific?

lowes also have butane soldering irons, never thought to use it to light the egg but it would. also i can do wiring out in the boat and its main use is to thaw out frozen padlocks on my trailer in the winter. the tip comes off for soldering small copper tubing but i think it might be undersized for anything over 3/8 tubing
fukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it -
If you have an Ace Hardware these work great and are much cheaper than BGE brand.

I use the Weber fire starter cubes. They're cheaper than the BGE squares, easier to find in stores, and they light much easier than the BGE ones.

I set a chimney of coals on top of the side burner on my gas grill. If toss the gas grill, I'll get one of these (like Mickey's pictures):
