Simple steak dinner

Started with a double thick prime ny strip. imageimage Coated it liberally with salt and pepper. image Cooked it on the egg @ 250 until the thermapen registered 125. image Seared it on a super hot cast iron pan for 30 seconds a side. image Served it with a couple wiz baked potatoes. image

    That's a really nice looking steak. I've been all in on searing my steaks on CI lately as well.

    Any road will take you there if you don't know where you're going.

    Thanks Hawg Fan. I love the look of grill marks but I find the CI gives a more uniform sear.

    You say simple I say outstanding. That's a mans meal. Meat, meat and potatoes. Doesn't get much better than that. Excellent job my friend. Now where's mine? ;)
