Hi all. Has been a bad day. I accidentally knocked over my plate setter and it is now in 3 pieces. Is it salvageable or do I need to get a new one? This kinda pisses me off with the start football season here in just a few days. I was going to do a smaller pork butt for this evenings feast and then this happened. Doh! Had to put my pellet smoker into service. :( :((

Someone recently had a similar post. I think you can use some welding material in the short term but you'll porb just need a replacement.Dallas, TX

JB Weld will hold up to 350-400 degrees, or just replace it with an Adjustable Rig and stone and never worry about a plate setter breaking again.Mamaroneck

I agree with Mama Roneck. Go to the Ceramic Grill Store site and get the spider and stone for your egg. while you're at it, get the adjustable rig, a couple of slide guides, some crossbars and at least two oval grids. With this setup, you can add smoking chips and chunks during a long cook. this worked magically last weekend with a 17 hour brisket cook I did on Sat nite to Sunday.

I may have an XL platesetter for sale ..

If it's mostly leg damage you can cut them off for a tri shaped pizza stone. I have 2 like the one below. One XL and one Large BGE. Will never buy another one. lolThank you,DarianGalveston Texas
