Sorry to somewhat repeat another question below, but I'm a little confused. I have the plate setter. To smoke a butt, for example, you'd turn it upside down and put a drip pan in the middle and then another grate on top? Water pan? Catherine

That's what I do. A water pan is not needed for the egg but you could put some liquid in the drip pan.

Q-Scoop,[p]Yes, but no need for another grate. Take the grid out, then the plate setter sits on the ledge, and the grate goes back on top of the legs. You can put a pan or foil or nothing on the plate setter, mainly depends what you're cooking and how much it's gonna drip. No water.
