Both. Really depends on what you buy. And like any pepper each one is a little different as far as heat. If you don't care for a lot of heat I'd suggest going with Mild Hatch. I went through the same thing rather recently and things came up better in the end. The job market isn't what it was 10 years ago but it's much better than it was 5 years ago. Keep your head up, it's not the end of the road, just a speed bump.
