I was there too- great venue!  Much better than the Toronto Eggfest as far as location goes.

Didn't take any pictures though, but the whole family had lots of fun.

I was cooking, @pantsypants @RGBHV and couple of friends from the other forum were cooking too. Wish I wrote my forum handle on the menu board so you guys could say hi!  It is indeed a great day and venue; I was too busy cooking and took very few pictures, too tired to upload tonight though!

Had a great time at Niagara Eggfest.

The lines for food were long and many guests came back for more. Lots of great food and people. It was a beautiful day - I actually got sun burned.

Although there's a nice reimbursement policy for Cooks, it was disappointing that there were no goodie bags / T-shirts for cooks.  Strange how you miss little things like that. (especially T-shirts)

I agree with you @RGBHV I actually think that not being given a gift bag and tickets for the draws left me feeling more like an employee, It seems weird . I think we should have been treated like the guests who paid , and been given the gift bags as well as the  gift certificates .  Obviously I dont cook at these events for the gift bag , but I didn't really feel appreciated by the guys putting it on and really left there feeling like I was almost like hired help .
I dont think I would cook there again .

I did have fun and ate some good food though .
I do have some pics that i will post in a bit ..

I think the reimbursement plan they have in place for cooks is a great idea.  It doesn't cover ALL food expenses, but it's a nice form of recognition that helps to offset costs.

I also like that they provide tents, tables, cutlery, plates, water, etc.   Some fests don't.

It is however odd, that by not getting a T-shirt or a bag of goodies can make you feel like you've been removed from the team! I know it wasn't just me, I heard a lot of cooks grumbling over that.

Oh well, it was a fun day.

    Great pics as always Gary!

I assume that the organizers were trying to save a few bucks so they could pay for the celebrity chef
:).  Either that or pay for the rental on the BGE guitar :)

I attended and was quite pleased with the venue, it was a great event.  I have been to quite a few Eggfest now and love the fact this one is still small enough to enjoy more food, and talk to more chefs and share ideas.  I wanted to cook at this one, but it was sort of nice to just taste all day (Food & Wine)

Great job to those of you who were cooking, I loved the jerk wings in the paper cups, the volcano ABT potatoes were amazing, the burnt ends and bacon wrapped meat balls... The steak from the Cluck & Squeal was off the chart... Ok... Who am I kidding, it was all great!

Too bad we did not know each other without the handles, cause it would have been nice to acknowledge one another better!

Thanks @Canugghead, some of our guys are on this forum, just not as active.  Where is this map to locate ourselves?

What spice was that on your grilled pineapple?  I would have guessed Pineapple Head from DP, but it didn't seem to have the heat at the end?  Home made spice?

Your bagels were top notch as well, yum!
