@Biggreenpharmacist @Hoov@DMW In case you're ever thirstyMushroom Cream Sauce
- Mince or press a head of garlic
- Sautee garlic in ½ a stick of butter (30 -60 seconds)
- Add mushrooms and cook till they release their liquid.
- Add ¼ cup of flour and cook for a few minutes (fold every few seconds till the shrooms are somewhat golden)
- Add 16oz heavy cream and stir very well. Raise heat and bring to a low boil. Keep stirring to avoid scorching
- After about 5 minutes, lower heat. Toss in few sprigs of chopped thyme and toss in (dried thyme works too).
- Add chicken broth to get desired thickness.
- Cook for about 30 minutes so the mushroom flavor can release into the sauce. If you don’t have a good mushroom taste, you didn't add enough mushrooms or you didn't simmer it long enough.
- Salt and pepper to taste. I like to salt after all chicken broth is added and the mushroom flavor has released. It’s important to salt this properly, so salt, stir, taste test, repeat.
