@Ponder - dude you need to chill a bit!! You have been here for almost 2 months and already attacking a highly respected and talented cook here on this forum. I didn't get to read @dyal_sc post before edited but it would be highly out of character for any kind of verbal abuse. Again can't say for sure cause I didn't read it but it would be uncommon of Dyal. I don't have any beefs with @hdumptyesq so no picking sides here This happened on a Sunday so my guess there was some day drankin goin on.-----------------------------------------analyze adapt overcome2008 -Large BGE. 2013- Small BGE and 2015 - Mini. @Dyal_SC your posts? These are your property? You seriously think that because you started a thread in a public forum that it is yours? And you think that I need your permission to post something? To say something? What about think something? My goodness. I had no idea. Tell me what is proper and correct please...yeah, you're right, you didn't use foul language. But hey, I was on a roll.Bloomington Springs, TN... LBGE, charcuterie, winemaker, cheesemaker, experimental plumber and approximate carpenter. Selective misanthrope and budding retrophrenologist.

He's referring to @hdumptyesq 's comment with the f bomb and a bomb , @Mattman3969 . He just misread the comments I guess.

And btw, Mattman, I never edited anything vulgar. Not my style.

This quote from this movie has never been better applied. What the hell did I just read?ponder said:@Dyal_SC you know, it's people like you who make forums like this a miserable experience at times. How does a simple reference to an old joke become an excuse for a false sense of moral outrage based on questionable political correctness? If you were truly trying to represent a legitimate point of view and exhibit your moral superiority over someone else on this forum, why was it necessary for you to edit and improve your post? And the fact that you felt it necessary to go back and edit your post throws further doubt on your position. I find your false sense of outrage and your attempt at moral bullying offensive...not because you may or may not have been truly offended (and I seriously doubt you were), but because you used this as an excuse to cheaply boost your forum cred. I just imagine you sitting there reading all the posts deifying your incredible prowess on the egg (dude, your cooking some food, not saving lives with your skill as a neuro-oncological surgeon) when suddenly here is a post made in humor that sort of ruins that for you...always a risk when you take yourself too seriously on a public forum (or in your case, I suspect, use a forum as a place to validate your worth as a human being worthy of admiration to make up for the fact that you are most likely a complete tool in real life and don't get the sort of respect you think you deserve and are unfairly deprived of). I can just imagine how quickly you jumped at the chance to respond to HDumpty's post to punish the person who was (gasp!) less than worshipful of your skill...at cooking stuff...do you know anything about him? Do you know that he wrote affirmative action policies that were lauded by the government and adopted by corporations? Do you know his history, what he has done for others in the past and what he does today? No, you obviously don't. You simply used fake anger, foul language and most offensive of all political correctness as a bully stick to present yourself as a moral beacon to all those who are lucky enough to read your posts. How truly blessed we all our by you deigning to share your total awesomeness with us Neanderthals. Congratulations, and thank you for the lesson in proper thought...I don't know what I'd do without people like you telling me how I should think and pointing out improper attitudes and what I should and should not find humorous. By the way, please feel free to point out any mistakes in grammar or spelling I may make here....... Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end......Finally, before I forget and get another lesson from the thought police..."you're awesome dude!!!" There. I hope your ego is sufficiently stroked.
Seriously, dafuq? There was no coherence to this whatsoever. -
@ponder - *sigh* I'm going to assume that since it's the end of the month, you have run out of your meds. With any luck, you will sober up in a few days, and realize what a tool you've been.
And the irony is that you're guilty of some of the things you accused the OP of. More power to you.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX. -
@ponder Really? Your defending someone who made a racial slur, your rant goes on about how Dyal doesn't know anything about the poster maybe you or the poster don't know anything about dyal. He simply asked him if he was going to make racial slurs to stay off his posts. Seems like a legitimate request to me. Your rant makes a lot of assumptions about someone you obviously don't know at all, I have met Dyal and can tell you first hand that you are way off base about the reasons for his taking exception to the slur comment. Take a Pill dude._________________________________________________Don't let the truth get in the way of a good story!Large BGE 2006, Mini Max 2014, 36" Blackstone, Anova Sous Vide

My wife makes the fried rice inside. She uses brown rice. We usually serve it with a more healthy protein though. But every now and then you gotta splurge. She starts by sautéing some chopped onion and garlic in EVOO. Then adds in cooked brown rice, thawed peas and soy sauce. Then an egg towards the end.

I've refrained from saying anything but....
My wife is Asian and at no point did I (or her) take offense to the "sideways" comment. First thing that popped in my mind was posting landscape pics in portrait mode. ;-)

I fully understand and agree with you taking offense at Hdumpty's post. That was just plain rude and uncalled for.
