Drip pan?

First season with my BGE and I'm trying not to buy every accessory all at once. Making ribs and the recipe calls for a drip pan. For now, would a 9*13 disposable foil pan work about the same? If not, other suggestions for a substitute?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Thanks cajuncook. What's the difference between the steam tray pan and a typical e-z foil pan?

Ask SGH where he got his drip pan (if you have a large). He gave me one the other day and its perfect. Im pretty sure he said they were inexpensive.

Haven't found anything yet that's inexpensive but thanks Is there a way to make a request directly of someone? Is it like FB where I would put their name preceded by @ and they would get notified that I mentioned them in a comment?

You can click on his name and send him a message. Heres a pic of the one he gave me. Its sitting in my platesetter. Perfect fit.

I def would love to get one of those bad boys, I'm just afraid it would prevent the indirect heat from getting under your cook. How deep is the pan, does it go right up to the grate?
-
I would think it would actually help in cases where you had a slab of ribs overhanging the platesetter's edge. The drip pan posted would actually cover that gap.Steve

Its shorter than the legs of the platesetter. Works great for me. Ive only cooked that stuffed pork butt i got from sgh but it was great.

I use 1 inch deep aluminum trays - They are inexpensive and I toss them after a few cooks. no clean up needed.

I have a large rectangular aluminum drip pan I bought at the grocery store. Its supposed to be a serving tray for cold cuts, etc, but is over 1" deep and works great. I think it was about $4.00, so i line with foil so I can easily clean and reuse (I am thrifty in some respects). You can see it under these ribs.@biggreenpharmacist, your new drip pan looks like a Paella pan without handles. I would love to have one. @SGH is the source? Details please!XLBGE, Small BGE, Homebrew and GuitarsRochester, NY

I got a 3 pack from Web Restaraunt. The pans are aluminum pizza pans. They are 16x2. They sit perfect in the plate setter.Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.

I saw @SGH 's at his home and remarked that I liked it. He went to his shop and came out with one and gave it to me. Its really nice. Perfect fit. I always used disposable foil pans but if I cook a lot of food there was always overhang. No longer a problem.Little Rock, AR
