Have had my egg for about 2 months now as I was building my table. Finally completed!!!!!
Henderson TN. 1 large BGE, 1 Webber Gasser (recently seems to have converted into a warming oven)

Welcome, very nice table! I will be the first of many to suggest getting a little more flow under that egg. Put some ceramic pot feet under the egg or get a table nest. There needs to be a little more air flow under there. Look forward to your cooks! @GeorgeS, @Philly35, @johnkitchens, Not sure if it makes a diference but base is actually a 2" thick piece of concrete, and not just a paver. And it doesnt sit directly on the shelf. It sits on the 2x4's you can see in the pic. Do I still need a table nest? And anybody else is welcome to chime in with your thoughts or opinions. They are very much welcomed and appreciated.

If I were you I would still put a set of these between the egg and the paver. Mine was sitting on the same thing and there was still heat transfer from the egg to the wood below the paver.

@Hunter1881, You don't "need" an air gap - but it does make it safer. This is not a "safe - not safe" situation - rather it is a "more safe - less safe" situation. We need to incorporate as much fire safety mechanisms to make us satisfied that the risk of fire is within our individual comfort levels. Your use of a concrete top provides more protection than the typical wood top. The paver being open to air below is better than a paver sitting on the support shelf. Adding an air gap between the egg and the paver would increase safety some. A lot of eggers will recommend adding the air gap because it is useful and not costly.
