Clean Burn problem
It got prob to around 1000 degrees as the temp gauge came back around to 200
Anyway, after the egg put itself out, I went to open it up and....no go.
I think my gasket melted, essentially gluing it shut. Now Ive got to come up with a way to open it up--any thoughts?

Use a putty knife- work it all the way around. You will need to replace the gasket- email the mothership for a new high temp gasketGreensboro, NC

Heat some lump in the bottom - enough to warm the dome, use putty knife and you should be good. THEN call Ron.

I'll come up with a different avatar. Though with that being said, I did grow up in Nola and only recently moved to Memphis 5 yrs ago!
Thanks for the advice...I never really cared how dirty the egg was until I hadnt used it for the last couple weeks and with all of the rain here it started to grow some mold so i figured I would go with a clean out. Probably will be the last time I do this and will certainly go with the gasket from RRP
