I've decided next summer on buying a small BGE and taking it to my mountain cabin to replace the old Weber the previous owner left there.

Does anyone know if it is easy to replace the casters that come with a nest with big inflatable ones.  I will be rolling it over some rough terrain.

Hmm, now I'm thinking of a medium.  I like the lighter weight of the small, but the nest handler isn't made for a small.  Now I'm thinking it might be better to get a medium, add the nest handler, and then replace 2 of the casters with fixed 6" pneumatic tires and 2 with 6" pneumatic casters.  Then with the nest handler, I could tip it up and wheel it around like a dolly over the un-even terrain to get to a flat spot to cook on.  Anyone done this?

@zmokin - if you search for "small egg big wheel" I think you'll find the thread where I debuted the big wheel mod for my small. Another thread was titled "do your chain hang low" or something.

You'll need that perforated angle iron type of stuff from Home Depot, pneumatic wheels, nuts, and bolts. Very easy to do and it rolls very easily over my flagstone patio and even the lawn. Should work even better with a nest handler attached.

Perfect, thanks, I'm experienced at erector set construction, so this I know I can do.
