Got a buddy PCSing from Japan to Scott AFB in Illinois. He's in Oklahoma right. He got quoted Large, nest, EggMates, and placesetter for $1150. Reasonable? Or should he wait until he gets to Illinois?

    Sounds high to me, but iffin it were me why chance the additional transportation risk in the first place. Might even be that he might find a dealer in IL who appreciates his military service and give him a break. BTW pass along my Welcome to the land of Lincoln!

    PS - sounds like your buddy is one of the lucky ones. The IL news reported today that Scott is losing 300 jobs but replacing with 350 - guess they are going a different direction with the base there, huh?

    Tell your buddy to wait until he gets to Illinois and hit up Hearthside Grill & Fireplace LTD. In Belleville, IL. They are right next to Scott AFB and a great dealer to do business with! They are my local dealer also. He wouldn't regret it.
