Fried Oysters and Shrimp on the Mini BGE (pix)
Thanks to @Mickey for the inspiration. Here is HIS LINK...
Shrimp in the front and Oysters in the back. Seasoned with Sea Salt, Cracked Pepper and Cayenne Pepper. Then dredged in Flour, Egg Wash and Panko Bread Crumbs. Fried up at around a 375 deg f temp for just a couple of minutes per side.
The skrimps...
The oysters...
The skrimps and the oysters done...
And the meal. Fried Shrimp, Fried Oysters, Cocktail Sauce, Roasted Potatoes, Paula Dean's Stovetop Mac n Cheese and Corn on the Cob.
My only way to fry from now on... Very, very easy to regulate the temperature and no stinking up the house. Plus, it's always more enjoyable to cook outside as well as eating dinner at the patio table.

@Dyal_SC What is your pan sitting on? Is it on a woo? Looks like your pan would fit in my XL! That's also a very nice looking pan, details please.Bristow Virginia XL&Mini One of the best feelings in life is watching other people enjoy the food I cooked!

@GeorgeS, it is sitting on my mini woo and the mini's standard 10 inch SS grid. It is one of the cheaper Lodge brand CI skillets. Works well for me and I only use it on the eggs for the most part.

Outstanding my friend! Fried shrimp and oysters is about as good as it gets in my opinion. That looks excellent to say the least. Nicely done. =D>Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.

@Crispix49 Have used a mini wok and reg size wok. I like peanut oil and yes I use Thermapen. Note: allow time for oil heat back to temp between cooks.Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Forgot all about this post. Now I want fried seafood again. @Grillmagic , nah, I didn't save the oil. Wasn't enough to save. It was probably just over a cup of oil. And it smelled seafoody and had crumbs in it. @Crispix49 , I can't remember if I used peanut oil or canola oil. Probably the latter for this cook since I wasn't using too high of an oil temp. And yes, I use the thermapen. It can be used for really cold and really hot temps.
